We are committed to ensure that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
2, How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
3, How we track individual users
We associate a cookie and a unique user ID for each visitor and track them using both custom variables and event labels (in professional account type and above) in Google Analytics. The user ID is based on Google Analytics utma cookie. Should you choose to track registered users, SkyGlue transforms the value of the UserID field you specified to a format that is not personally identifiable using our hashing-based algorithm and sends it directly to Google Analytics servers. No Personal identifiable information (PII) is sent over to Google Analytics servers. You should not make any attempt to associate SkyGlue user ID with any personal identifiable information.
3, How we track form data
SkyGlue automatic tracking mechanism by default only tracks form click actions. SkyGlue does not automatically track or collect form input.
4, Data security, data integrity, and access
SkyGlue takes all reasonable steps to protect our users’ information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure such information. SkyGlue only processes personal information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual. SkyGlue allows our users and website visitors access to their personal information and allows them to correct, amend or delete inaccurate information, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the privacy of the individual in the case in question or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated.
5, EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Compliance
SkyGlue meets the standards introduced by GDPR which goes into effect May 25, 2018.
SkyGlue by default sends all website tracking data to Google Analytics servers directly. SkyGlue does not store any of your website tracking data. SkyGlue holds itself to strict data security and privacy standards as laid out in GDPR and SkyGlue is in line with Google Analytics’ GDPR policy. Your website tracking is automatically GDPR compliant as long as Google Analytics is GDPR compliant.
If your website uses SkyGlue’s database export service where website visitor behavior data is sent to an external data storage, SkyGlue directs the data to be sent to protected servers that are GDPR compliant. All data collected by SkyGlue meets the requirements of GDPR.
6, Opt Out Policy
SkyGlue is an add-on application for Google Analytics and it only works when Google Analytics tracking is enabled. If the website visitors opt out of Google Analytics, they will also have automatically opted out of SkyGlue.
